new transmission- tight in reverse

just put new transmission in from Ashcroft.
Works great. And reverse is very tight. If I put it in reverse slow, makes scratching noise. I have to jam it in really fast, than it is fine.
Any recommendation for transmission shop that can look at it in Maryland?
Or shop to send it to?

Does it shift ok into reverse with the engine off? If so I would check your clutch adjustment.
