New shocks

I have not purchased shocks for a Defender in a long time , what is the decent at a decent price out there now ? (going to be a very heavy Expedition set up 110, lots of tools equipment NO rock crawling or serious long travel needed for this specific application.

RN has OME n44s on sale now for $82ish. This is a HD rear shock.

I would think the OMEs would be ideal for your application. There are others that are better for other applications, but for a pretty heavily loaded expedition setup I don't think you can go wrong with OME or Bilstein. I've never been real happy with the bilsteins but many love 'em. Can't say anything nice about the Pro Comps.

I'm not a fan of the Bilstein's , have them on my 3/4 ton Damx and the ride and dampening is not great.

With a 7100 Bilstein, you can change the valving to suit your needs, adjust the nitrogen pressure to tune the ride and are 100% rebuildable. Last shock you'll ever buy, rebuild kits are 35 bucks
What did you have on the duramax, I'd bet they were 5100's or 5150's, those do suck...

Camel 4x4 has Ironman shocks from Australia. the foam technology says good for heavy duty applications. might want to check them out. Also, have the Nitro gas shocks like OME etc.
