New Seat Recommendations

The front seats in my new D-90 are good but not great. Any suggestions for fixing/replacing them? Has anyone used these?:

Or these?

I have four exmoor 'le mans' seats in my 110 (the rear bench is replaced with two buckets). These seats are modified Cobras, with the thigh support frames cut down a bit for easier entry and exit.

I can drive in them for hours and hours -- did the last Nevada Trophy in them (two 15 hr days back to back) and never once even thought about the seating (other than realizing how good they were after the raid was finished).

I think they are the best option for Defenders, and are made specifically for them by exmoor.

There are photos in some thread here...

Does Exmoor make any provisions for battery box access or is it just a "seat removal procedure?"

Forgot that part. Requires seat removal, unless you make modifications. I had a fabricator create a hinged base for the seats so they could be tilted back, and secured with hand-screws in front. Also had seat bases made for the rear pair.

This is not an inexpensive upgrade. But if you are keeping your truck for life, it's worth it.

Doug, do you have some photos of how yours is done? I'd like to see how it turned out. I haven't decided what to do with the 90 but was planning on replacing one of the Range Rovers with a 110 soon and the seating setup is going to be a big priority for me.

Photos including the bases should be in a D-90 thread.
