New Radio advice sought

The stock radio (RTC7788) in my '97, has been repaired twice in Arkansas, last time 5 years ago. I don't do cassette tapes, nor CD's since I've moved onto iPods. The LR Clarion has worked OK, but all the buttons, LCD, cassette hole lead to failure and I'm just not into sinking another minimum of $200+ into it to just extend it's life to repeat this same situation in a few years at an ever increasing price.

So I'm looking at buying a Clarion marine M502 model. It has a single button control, AM/FM tuner, an LCD display, USB port in the rear (to wire in my pod if I want), bluetooth, a wireless remote, all the modern stuff a man could want.

The issue. Mounting instructions say 30° max of horizontal (but then so do all their units) and we know the D90 is a verticle mount. In a boat, I can see this need but inside a LR, I don't, so I'm tempted to make the purchase.

Suggestions? I see others here have gone to marine type. Success' ? Failures? Other brands that work and have similar modern features?

Here's the factory link to review it.

Thanks in advance for you time and responses.

You just need an amp and a line adapter (cable) from the iPod/celly/iPad. You don't need a head unit.

EDIT: Unless you like listening to local AM/FM radio, then get the cheapest POS head unit you can find that has an AUX IN.

Yea, I need the radio too. To listen to "angry male radio stations". Other wise I'd probably not be so pissed off all the time and die of low blood pressure.

Easy race horses, I'll list list in the for sale section of the forum.

One avenue that I have come upon in my quest for an AM-FM-WB radio unit with USB MP3 AUX type inputs is Tractor and Earth Moving equipment units. These are made for some of the dirtiest and roughest conditions to be found.

You should sell it to whoever sends you the most money via paypal. Losers to forfeit their deposit....,,,,

Yes it works well. 110 w 200tdi. I did wire in another amp but i'm using cheap big speakers in the way back and $6 tweeters above my head and it seems fine.

Actually thought these would be a dime a dozen and easy to source...

I'm about to go the gb4x4 radio route but would still need stock speaker covers...
