New Owner, Help Needed in the DFW Area, Barter

Hi all, new owner of a 97 D90 LE,

I have a genuine interest to learn as much as I can regarding doing my own maintenance. However, I don't have a wealth of hands on experience. I am mechanically inclined, I have an eagerness to learn, and more importantly, I have the means to buy some good craft beer. The ask: are there any D90 DFW based owners who would be interested in showing a noob a thing or two about D90 DIY?

I'm looking at a few projects including:
  • Installation of Exmoor forward facing seats
  • Installation of the insulated oil cooler lines
  • General oil and brake maintenance/overhaul
  • Engine/Oil seals - may be too big a task
Any "constructive" feedback is appreciated. I have a great relationship with LR Frisco, however, honestly I'm just looking to get my hands dirty and I want to know more about maintenance given this D90 isn't getting away from me like my last one did!

Chis is right and I had the good fortune of seeing some of the projects he is working on. For starters when in deep go to North Texas British/Rovers. Second I am also in the same camp of wanting to get my hands dirty also. I am willing to be a co-learner. Shoot me a pm with your number and I will contact you.
