New BFG MT Design

Has anyone heard when BFG is going to start retailing the new BFG MT's with the Krawler designed lug pattern? I heard they're susposed to be out this summer but none of the dealers in my area seem to know anything about them which is not promising.

There's a whole discussion on them in the expedition Portal.

How much time do we have to still get the existing version. I'm not fond of tires looking like they belong on Jeeps with 12 inch wide chrome rims, offset completely out of the well. You know the look.

Are they changing tread pattern on the AT's too or just the MT's?

At least they dont have flame patterns and tribal symbols down the sidewalls. Those are a mandatory item after you put an 8" lift on your 2WD pickup in CA.

BFG also makes an off brand tire called MUD KING that is just like the old ones for less money. I like them a lot.

Can those mud king tires be turned with the white letters in (black out)?

I've been checking with BFG on and off ever since I saw prototypes of the new MT's on Bill Burke's truck several years ago. It always seems imminent, but never is. Here was their last reply to me in Nov of last year:

Thank you for your email. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you.

At present the Mud Terrain with the Krawler tread design is only available
in two sizes: LT255/75R17 and LT335/55R22LRD. Both of these tires are
currently available for dealer's orders.

If your questions have not been answered to your satisfaction, please call
me at 1-877-788-8899 (toll-free) between 8:30AM and 6:00PM Eastern Time
Monday through Friday.

So if you decide to get those 22's on your truck, you're in good shape

yes, all offroad tires that I have seen are only white on one side. Gave about $100 each for 35s

It`s only a matter of time. Can`t forget the mudflaps that say 4x4 with the trucker girl on them, and the 4 Wheel Parts sticker across the front window too. That`d make for one SICK off road tire- Tribal flames and trucker girls build into the tread.

If that`s your only question about the Mud King tires, I hope you`re joking.
