New Audio Ideas??

My 94 D90 Pioneer radio is toast and wanted to know if anyone has any good replacement ideas. I searched old posts but the tech world has changed a lot.. I am looking for something that will run my disc changer, iPod, and with a decent output. Maybe a small subwoofer somewhere (under the passenger seat?). Any ideas?

I went with the Alpine deck, a Bazooka sub and a JL Audio amp. The speakers are Memphis.

Hey Thanks... The Alpine looks like a good choice... Where did you put the amp and woofer? Mike

I agree with the bazooka. Just put mine in. For the extra $30 bucks go with the 200 watt 8 inch one. Sounds great, straps to the roll cage behind the tuffy. I have jump seats in back and does not effect leg room either. I actually run it off my stock head unit. Can control the subwoofer through head unit if you get the correct pins. Factory amp is still used for the other four speakers. Can take pics if you want.

Its hard to see but if you look right over my dogs head you can see the sub mounted neatly where one of my jump seats used to be.

I installed an Alpine IDA-X001 a few months ago based on Ade's advice (Thanks Ade). I'm really happy with it. Make sure you use the Alpine cable (not the Apple cable) to connect to your iPod. And to run a disc changer, you may need to get the Ai-Net to RCA cable (KCA-121B) and activate the auxiliary input mode. I did that to run my XM receiver.

Alpine head unit, kenwood woox sub and some marine amp in the passenger seat box. Worked nicely.

Alpine IDA X100 from etronics.com through Amazon saved a couple hundred bucks. Great service and quick shipping. I'm not happy with the Alpine Marine speakers though...
