Need to rent or borrow a Rivnut tool.

Hey guys...

I need to borrow or will "rent" a Rivnut tool.
Need set up for 6mm aluminum nuts...and needs to be like a rivet gun, not the block type as I am using it on the hood close to the angles and the block type won't allow me to index the rivnuts correctly.

I only need it for a day and it will be back to you.

Thanks,

Funtogun/Robert

Now if you have enough room to swing a wrench you can make a rivnut tool from a nut and a washer. Nut should be M6. Drill out the threads with 6mm drill. Put your M6 bolt thru washer then thru dilled out nut, then into rivnut. Use end wrench to hold nut stationary while turning M6 bolt until rivnut is seated. Remove bolt and repeat.

Having done both methods I would go with the actual tool hands down every time. For $15 it's a no brainer.

I ended up going the "do it today" route and did 11 of them by hand with a nut, bolt, and washer. If I was going to do more...then the tool sure would be handy
