Need nj shop

I've moved and lost my workspace. Need some semi minor work done to my truck.

Can't get a hold of Vinnie.

Do not use Vinny the rover specialist. Just do a search for why. What do you need done and what vehicle. Plenty of NJ folks who can help or point you in the right direction. Where do you live?

I just ts can't get my tools out of storage so I need a shop.

Need a tb and valve adjustment on my 200tdi and a rear axle seal on a early sals axle

I'm in Woodbridge now

A valve adjustment shouldn't take but 20 minutes. Hell if you want to come to my house we can do it. I'm in red bank.

Timing belt a bit more involved - both foreign cars of Monmouth in fair haven and massimo auto repair in shrewsbury are very good too. Not rover specific shops but I trust them a lot more than Vinny.

The valves are just a while I'm at it type thing. The tb is the big deal, and I'd like to take it to someone who has touched a 200 before. Will be this engine third belt under me and it's running great, don't want to fuck it up

I know I've seen plenty of rovers at foreign cars of Monmouth and I brought mine to massimo but not for engine work.

Both these guys works on a lot of unique and high end vehicles. Often seen mega buck exotics there. If they can work on a Ferrari 458 I think figuring out a tractor engine should be piece of cake.

But just my .02 since you asked.

Bad news, forgiven cars of Monmouth won't work on it. They said they weren't aware of diesel in a landrover with a rubber belt and they won't work on a grey market truck.

Next! Lol

Very odd - I could have sworn I have seen a 200 or 300 powered LR in front of their shop. Lee the mechanic there would have no problem doing it.

If you are ever in our area with your rig maybe just drive by, show it to them and talk to Tommy in person?

Rolf has a sales office and a service shop in Summit. He's a decent guy. Randy TDIGuy might be a good choice as well. I bought my Richards chassis through him.

Don't use Import Specialists in Dumont NJ

I do not recommend these guys - long story but really crappy work - don't be fooled by a bunch of Defenders in their yard.

For a job like the timing belt I would take the time to drive it to a reputable specialist. Rovertek in West Babylon, Long Island is within a few hours drive, tops. Worth the extra time to have peace of mind that the job was done right.
