In the process of putting one of these in the 110 with a Godar 1000 tunable antenna

Yup that's what I have. Easy USB hookup which is all I really need, but also has CD's for when I want to play my scratched Dave Matthews Live CD from 1999.

So, Matthew...I'm guessing the prv owner of my '97 has already hacked/worked around the factory amp ??

this is what I found in the seatbox.
There was an aftermarket Sony in the center console w/ Sirius.
At least 7 or 8 wires have been cut at the amp and spliced back.

The Sony has since been tossed so I have no radio at all for the moment.

Yes, that looks to me like it's been bypassed. Oh sorry, that was the amp. I never did it, so I don't know what "connect all the black cables together" means, but it looks like there are still some black cables there at the amp to me that aren't connected to stuff.

Yes, looks that way to me. I just took a quick picture when I was home for lunch.

ECR Mike's description of reconnect the black wires doesn't sound all that difficult...

From my memory, what you've got in the bundle of connected wires is the 2 wires for each of the 4 speakers. And the leftover wires in the harness that was connected to the amp are the amp control (purple/yellow), those 2 black wires that need to be tied together, and I don't remember the other.
