Need 2.5 n/a ex-MOD oil filter advice!!

I need to get an oil filter today or tomorrow and can't wait for shipping on a genuine Land Rover part. I have found several, varying suggestions on the internet. Can someone who has or has had the same vehicle tell me what oil filter will work in my 1987 ex-Mod land rover 90? One that is available at pep boys or auto zone, etc. THANKS!

If you have a dealer close by it is the same filter that the Disco V8's use. It may also be the same as the Rangies.

Rovahfarm website says that the following all use the same filter:
Defender 2.5 petrol
2.5 diesel naturally aspirated
2.5 diesel turbo
200TDi
300TDI
V8

In my opinion, factory is best and Fram is unacceptable. If you were local I could hook you up.

Wix 51773 - OE size Rover filter for most Rover motors
Wix 51515 - a bit longer than stock for more oil volume.

Both are under a tenner and usually in stock at O'Reily's. The 51515 are usually on the shelf, the 51773 I always have to ask for.

Wix makes the filters for the Napa Gold line fwiw..

Fram ph8a or equivalent. Most common oil filter in the world.
