NATO green paint code resource

Searches for paint codes bring you to a varying level of links and sources, much of which focus on stock colors.

In an effort to track down the NATO green pain codes, I have been doing a great deal of digging and found the following

DB 6431 Nato Green

Perhaps the same as RAL 6014

Another number keeps popping up is BS 381

I beleive these to be different colors than what your local army surplus store would have to camo, say, your duck hunting boat.

If others have paint codes specific to the NATO green/Ex MOD please help us out to build this resource for folks.

I have 2 samples of the RAL 6014 on the way, one in flat and one in satin, and will post sample pics when it arrives FWIW.

I'll believe it when I see it. There are so many shades of military green out there.

Kinda why I'm doing this Chris. If its shit, well I just wasted 36 bucks. If it passes muster, a group but would make it very affordable.

The paint codes came from The Rugged Guide ( YouTube dude, good vids by the way). He re does all ex mod trucks and after some gentle begging he shared them with me. They are being mixed in Texas hope to have em next week.

Perhaps I will test the paint on my shitty bent up Bumperettes

This is another reason an ex MOD section would be nice on the forum. Our audience is only getting bigger.

The Rugged Guide is in UK by the way

Color samples arrived. 1 did not cut it, but this is Fricken close. An iPhone pic won't do it justice but the one in the middle of the tailgate is satin (not matte) and I would say this is as close to the MOD paint on my truck as I could get.

Josh,
I'm trying to decipher your posts. Where did you get the paint from?

Few more for y'all. Hard to say how long this truck baked in the sun and faded but this paint is 10x closer than the "NATO" paint my army navy store carries.

I plan to pull a Bumperette and strip, prime and repaint with this to give us all a better idea of how this matches.

All they appear to carry is canned spray paint, no bulk quarts or gallons.

I'm still focused on the correct paint code/color. I think sourcing it in bulk is easy once we know we got the correct color.

Do you have interest in one of these rattle cans to test out for yourself?(or any of you for that matter). We could send it around to see if people like and perhaps try for a bulk order.

I wanna try it. I will be looking to paint mine in the near future. I would like the satin. Tell me how you want to handle it.
Once we find the code I will poke around also.

The only odd thing about all various shades of drab olive green, is that most military vehicles are now matt desert sand

I'm interested in one rattle can of the MoD green. My 90 has a couple spots to touch up, the rest of my paint looks pretty good.
