Cheers

I bought paint from ebay. an easy enamel. Basically implement paint. Paints easy enough. Looks to be the right color... but the military isn't particular with those colors. Turns out the US military is part of NATO. and NSN can mean national stock number or "NATO" stock number.
When I say fairly certain... I've never acquired paint. But I can confirm that the US military uses 14050 green.
But they have like... 50 colors of paint available.

That particular color looks to be created or re-issued in 2007.
I think the NSN is 8010-00-753-4549 i believe the color is 14050 for both. Should be the same for everything, though I do believe that USMC uses a slightly different (no one could tell without overlaying chips) color. They're all about color coordination.

That's not super helpful other than to say... you don't have to find something that says NATO on it. Cuz it most likely won't in the US. It will say "coating, color chip 14050" there are a couple different varieties of paint as they went on different equipment.

Also not super helpful as these things change with most new contracts and they change in the sun (rapidly!) and they'll change just through shortfalls/lack of care/need to care in production.

If you have painted parts you want to match.. get it mixed to match.
