NAS Header Bar Seal

Hey All,

So the header bar on my Defender 90 (soft top) is in great condition, but the seal underneath (where the header bar and wind screen) meet is in bits and pieces.

It is especially bad on the ends, near both doors. I am getting alot of water inside the truck when is rains as it appears that because there is not seal up there the rain comes directly over the top of the door frame when I starting moving.

I tried looking on rovers north, but i could not locate the part.

Many thanks in advance!

KD

I have used the foam weather seal strip that you get at a hardware store and it never leaked

x3 for the hardware store, but I will push you one step further for Pep Boys, they sell the black stuff in a nice tidy 3/4" 10 foot roll (or very similar).

I removed the header bar, cleaned up the mess on top of the header with a plastick putty knife, then used goof off and then cleaned it thoroughly a few times with automotive windex. Stuck the new one on and made it go a bit past the ends of the header bar on both sides and reattached the header bar without piloting any holes in the rubber strip.

Windows still leak of course!

Also some leakage may be coming from the windscreen seal so that's a quick and easy replace as well.

Ben
