NAS Coil Springs vs. ????

Hi -

A while back I bought a set of "NTO" (New Take Off) coils from Safari Rover/HP to replace the rusty OEM coils on my truck.

I never gave a second thought to whether they were 1:1 replacements or not. So here's the question, attached are pictures of the coils, they have color codes I can't quite figure out. Can anyone either confirm that they will be fine, or explain how they will not before I go through the effort to install them?

One set is coded Green & Yellow, the other is Blue & White. G&Y is thicker than B&W

thanks for the info and help.

Can you take a full picture of each spring by itself to see the number of coils and spacing?

Not the right one for a Defender
NRC4306 Disco V8 '90-'96 RR '87-'91 Front left (LHD) 16.44" 133lb/in 7.55 coils blue/white

Not a great rear... Maybe not a bad front?
NRC4234 RR LHD Front right 16.20" 170lb/in 7.00 coils green/yellow

So 9 and 9.5 coils... Who knows... How long are they? Do you have something to measure the coil diameter?

I'd talk to the vendor and see what they can do about making it right.

Really not sure what they are then. If you have a vernier or caliper and can carefully measure the diameter of the bar used for the springs, I can estimate the spring rates.

Thanks for the help John, I think at this point I have enough information/knowledge that says these aren't right to call Stephen at Safari and figure out how to get a better set....I hope.
