NAS 90 VIN numbers

Do NAS 90s have the VIN number stamped in the frame like ROW Defenders? Where else does the VIN number show up other than the one in the window?

In a 90 there is a NHTSA decal with the VIN by where your left foot would be on the bulkhead and the VIN is also stamped into the frame on the RH front frame horn near where the front bumper bolts on in the wheelwell.

It's in the same location Mike describes for the 90...

Mike (ECR), when you rebuild a 90 into a 110, does the new frame need to be stamped with the VIN number? If the NHTSA sticker in the footwell is damaged, can it be replaced? I assume a replacement would have to come from Land Rover.

Several weeks ago I ordered a replacement sticker for my 110 from my dealer. They said it would be 6 weeks or more and I still need to call to get a status. Other than the time it has taken, it was a very easy process.

That's good information. I am considering rebuilding a damaged 90 into a 110, and want to be sure there are no issues later with the VIN.

No we don't stamp the new galv frames. It would blow the galvanizing off in that area. Also I don't think we could do it as nicely as Rover does so I always figured it would be better for the customer to just have all the paperwork, and photos, of what was done to his/her truck if someone asked, rather than us trying to make some attempt to stamp a frame that might look "home-made" or "scetchy" to some government official.

mattarm,
What kind of information does the dealer need to order a replacement sticker?
