NAS 110 middle door locks

I'm interested adding keyed locks to my middle doors. The current outer handles are just like the front doors, with a plastic plug where the barrel lock would go.

Is it as easy as getting a pair of barrels, having them keyed to match the front doors, and inserting them, or is there more to it?

let me know what you find out- I was wondering the same thing. Guessing the little lever/rod that would go between the actual lock and the key barrel and two locking clips would also be needed but haven't made the time to pull a door panel and look.

I think you have to get front handles to accept the lock barrels (there's some missing bits in the handle itself). I bought a bunch of keyed barrels hoping to just install them in the handles too, but as Doug said, enough is also missing that it's not so simple. As far as I can tell, front handles will fit - but I haven't tried one yet to confirm - and not sure if the other bits will work. My intent is to try the parts form one of my fronts to see if it works or not before buying anything....

ok thanks. well the middle doors are the last part of my thermal/sound proofing project so I'll be pulling those panels off soon and will conduct the experiment and report back.

Of course, if anyone else with experience on this (ECR ) can chime in, that will save me the work.
