NAPA Thermostat in 95 D90

Anyone have experience with NAPA thermostat in their D90? I read an early post that a rover tech preferred the thermostats from NAPA over the oem ones. The stat at my local NAPA is a 190F...part #1542001..made by Vernet. Only negative I see is that it's $21.49. Have time this weekend and don't feel like waiting on ordering from the usual. Just don't want to screw anything up if it's a POS. Thanks

Just get the ones that fail open and you'll be good. You can always test it in a pan of hot water to make sure it works prior to install.

Soapy water / KY jelly, etc. is is basically a must. Yes, good idea to remove trim panels - only takes 5 more minutes to do so.
