Mud UK Center Console - HELP Please

For those of you that have a MUD UK Console on a NAS defender:

Did you have to cut the OEM console to fit it. I want to avoid cutting. Can you measure the bottom of the double DIN cutover to the top of the OEM console? I'm thinking of using it for an Alpine ILX-007 shallow depth headunit.

Thanks in advance,

Armando

I dont think there's room....
Alpine lists it as- Chassis Size (WxHxD) in: 7'' x 3-7/8'' x 3''

That's what I figured. I'd hate to cutup the D90 fascia.

Yes you have to cut out a portion of the lower dash to make it work. I would hesitate doing it on a NAS truck.

FWIW, I successfully installed one without cutting the dash. Single DIN head unit, full row of Carlings, and power window switches.

Is there room for a single din facing forward in the top of the double-din section without cutting? I think there is but havent looked closely...
I'd like to do what you did but maybe swith the Carlings place and the single din receiver.

The knob is a cell phone mount.

You won't be able to mount a stereo in the face of the console, it has to be on the slant mount if you don't want to cut.

Don't know if this helps, but here's a side view showing the top of the dash pocket in relation to the console indentation.

reviving an old thread...
I won a gift card to MUD UK and contemplating this console unit.
Is there enough room to put in USB and cig. lighter to the two round cutout, without cutting into the dash?
Thanks!
