Okay so after replacing my two front oxygen sensors I (on purpose) ran out of gas again and figured out that I'm getting now about 9.7 mpg which, despite being over a whole mile better than my old mileage, is still not as good as I would like it to be but I did run the air conditioning and do some highway driving. I guess this will just have to do but if anyone has any other suggestions (serious ones only please) let me know. Thanks.

-no, don't really have a gps
-just city driving here in Dallas, either highway or stop & go, usually up to 40mph just around town
-just got my odometer fixed (had the infamous intermittent odometer problem) so now I reset the trip every time I fill up and got 146.2 miles this time, before replacing the sensors it was at around 125 miles.

For a 277 ci motor putting out around 225hp with a/c and auto trans and a mix of driving, I wouldn't expect too much more. You could probably tweak it or re-map it, but I doubt you would get a substantial improvement without some loss of power. Talk to someone like ECR who may have much more experience with that engine, they may be able to give you some good advice.

I've had a 95 ST and I now have a 97 ST. I've never gotten over 13 mpg. It's usually around 10-11 in the city and if I do any highway driving it's around 12. The o2 sensors were replaced in my 95.

Maybe get a locking fuel cap! Has your neighbor's gas mileage gone up!?

Has anyone ever estimated the effect of running 33's with 4:10's on odometer readings?

I used my gps to give me a distance along a route and then compared that to odometer and speedo. When I put my 255/85's on I found that both were surprisingly accurate. The 7.5 16's that were on the truck when I got it were giving me a speedo reading that was higher than actual, which probably added a few miles to overall odometer reading. Stock gearing as far as I know.

I'm calculating about 20 mpg with a 2.25 diesel

I'm getting about 17-18mpg with my 2.8. Roof tent costs me a little on the highway. I really need a 1.2 TC.
