mounting tires on anodized wheels

just bought some BFG MT tires from NTB and they say they cannot mount the tires on my anodized rims without scratching them. I don't know how that can be. Anyone ever heard of that? Anybody know who can mount them? Not that they won't eventually get scratched, just seem odd that they can't/won't get the tire on the rim w/out doing it.

thanks in advance.

No they are just covering the there rears. If you mussel on the first bead the second can be put on with a rim clamp machine. It doesn't toutch the rim if done properly. For that matter a good installer can do both beads that way. The machine will hold the rim by the inside, backside, of the rim. It will leave a few marks but not on a finish you will see. If they front cone the rim on the balance machine it should also not hurt the wheels finish. You can also use the lug nut holes if they have the proper adapter. NTB use to be a good company when they were NTW. Since the merger, years ago, they have lost the technical expertise.
