Mounting Mudflaps

Do the mudflaps for the front wheels have need an adapter, or do they just go straight on? If they go straight on, is drilling required? Pics? Thanks - Andrew Nobrega

Andrew,
I just put Flaps on my 97 and they went straight on but I still had to drill 2 holes in each side.....personally i think the design is stupid as you need very small hands plus an extra set to get them mounted.....I think they look hot but whoever designed them def. wasn't thinking....

Andrew - If those are the mudflaps I sold you, they were mounted directly to the front outrigger of my 110. I drilled a couple of holes in the outrigger to mount them, and you need a long, skinny hand to reach the backside and install the fasteners. I'm not sure if the D90 outriggers are any different.

I remembered drilling holes and, I think, using rivnuts. I'll take pics tommorrow.

I put them on in '97. Without them, the front tires would throw mud right up on the front door handle when driving on muddy roads, which is every day for me in the rainy season.

Ya, I'm doing it mainly for gravel roads. It kicks it up under the car and eats away at my side steps. Thus I'm worried what else it might be doing.
