More Bellhousing Woes

Allen Bolts are not recessed? I might have the wrong ones?

And for some reason, the three bottom stud holes are not tapped. Any ideas?

Follow-up Post:

Red 4 Allen, would work if they were flush?

Yellow-line up with the holes in the bellhousing, but are not threaded? For Studs.

Yes, I believe the un-threaded ones are for alignment studs. Most transmission mounts have a few, they make installation a hell of a lot easier.

As to the rest, don't forget the thickness of the bellhousing and washers. I'd measure the gap that you're seeing, and them measure the thickness of anything else that is going to go in there. You may be fine as-is. The bellhousing has pretty thick walls to it.

Sunk the 4 allen bolts, threaded the holes for the studs, its all good.

10D serial number anyone?
Does anyone have a pic of how the serial number should be stamped on the block? Mine looks fishy.

If anyone tells you importing a 2nd hand engine from the UK isn't an adventure, they're a liar.

Can't see anything anywhere on that engine code.

How about a picture of the engine and the serial number?
