MOD top

Hi all- first post here so forgive cluelessness. I have an 86 MOD tithonus in transit, and have a couple of questions about the fiberglass top. First, will it support a roof rack? If so, considering a thule rail system, where mounting rails are screwed into the roof top, or possibly having a permanent basket type thing fabricated. Second question concerns the practicality of removing/replacing hard top seasonally. Have seen a couple of posts elsewhere suggesting this is a bad idea. Anyone with experience in this? Thanks

I'd attach the rack to the roll cage over the doors.

On the Wolf/Tithonus gel tops the roof racks are attached to the side of the top. The top section is too flimsy to hold a rack.

I would just have Jeff Huff make a roof rack that never touches the Gel top. http://www.wolffab.com/wolf_fabrication_Racks.htm

Bet they bolt through to the roll cage. The plastic top just couldn't handle a load.

Found some more.
