I wouldn't put Mobile 1 in my truck if they were giving it away.

Why would that stop someone from using Mobile 1. They do have a dedicated TD oil for those that believe in that.

No Chris, I just don't like Mobile 1's history of deceit.
For the record, I don't get too hung up on any particular brand since I believe in changing the motor oil very often. However, there are scores of tests done on brand specific oils that are available and if you use that as a basis for picking a particular oil, I doubt Mobile 1 would be the choice.

I ran the Mobil for a long time in my Defender, found some Amsoil its the only option IMO.

I wasn't advocating any vendor, just saying for those that use it. As for deceit, how is this different from any oil producer?

And if you buy into the multitude of oil specs, M1 0-w40 is one of the few (in the US) that meet OEM engineering specs for certain model cars. Not necessarily LR.
