Marker lights illuminating when applying brake

1994 D90

Its been in storage a while(years) and being recommissioned. I have at least one issue with the elec and possibly two.

Symptom1 :

Side marker lights and possibly the front marker lights illuminate when brakes are applied while the headlights are not on. New bulbs have been recently installed. Failed switch? Corrosion? Wrong bulbs?

Symptom 2:

The battery will drain overnight if left connected. New battery has been installed. The radio is aftermarket and about 10 years old.

Recent work performed by a professional:

Fuel Pump, Brake master cylinder.

Thanks advance.

The light issue is most likely a bad ground for the lights in the rear. The brake lights ground out through the common connection to the marker lights.

The battery drain, you need to trace down with a meter.

Ha!!....I'm sorting through a "front brake light" as well, right now. Turn signal goes off when I hit the brakes but the front turn indicator comes on like a brake light. Looks like it is a ground issue in the rear.

Recently had multiple bad-ground problems myself. Ended up running 5 dedicated grounding wires: one behind dash and one to each corner of my 90. Used 8 gauge tinned marine wire.

Possible overkill? Most likely.
Any more grounding problems? No

Added benefit of making it way easier to tune my CB antenna.
