Mallory Conversion - Ignition Module?

I'm about to swap out my old troublesome Lucas dizzy for a new Mallory Unilite unit. Does the Unilite have an embedded ignition module or do you have to figure out a way to use and mount the old stock unit?

Any other pointers you guys have for me on this conversion?

Gracias!

I'm going to install the active power filter and the ballast resistor. Can anyone confirm that you do actually need the ballast resistor if you are using your stock coil?
