Make shift hi-lift ARB mount - Opinions?

Ok I just need this to hold on my way to Miami from Baltimore, 1100 miles on 95S.

Those are steel pipe straps and there is no play at all. I'm going to drive it around for a test drive to make sure they stay that way before I leave.

I'm leaving tommorrow so I don't have a lot of time. My other thought was to get some large grade 8 bolts and bolt it to the top of the bar through some existing mount holes.

I thought I would run this by you guys to get a second opinion. I won't have room inside because I'm going to have the it packed full of other stuff.

I would throw a heavy rubber bungy on it as a backup in case the pipe clamps fail.

Well I couldn't leave it crooked like that so I bolted it to the winch mount holes below the liscense plate. It's nice and tight and looks pretty professional. I'll probably leave it there until I get a winch.

sounds like a good move, those hose clamps looked scary. Nothing like having a 50lb hi lift go flying through your windsheild at 70mph.

MAKE SURE THE HANDLE IS SECURE! Thats why I said bungy around it. the handle on mine came out of the base before and it swivled on the pin I put throught it at the other end until it was pointing streight forward and only hanging on by a thread at 75 mph. If it came off I don't know where it would have gone but at the least I bet it could have punched a big hole in the radiator, or worse the windsheild and hit the dummy driving.
