Lucky 8

I called Lucky 8 hoping to put an order in for a Devon 4x4 bumper, but was told something along the lines of Devon losing their insurance, which keeps them from importing bumpers.

Is there any other place state side who might have one in stick

Why do you need a Devon? Seem there are a bunch of other good bumpers available.

Need? I don't "need" a Devon. I want a Devon. I like the looks, integrated skid plate, and the fact that it sits up higher than most of the other winch bumpers I have seen.

I went with this one and it sits up a couple inches higher than the stock one.

I have a D44 on both my D90 & D2.... out of all the bumpers I've seen they do have some of the best lines & the intergrated steering guard in a nice feature.

The non-supply is prob due to liability issues more than anything else. I'd suggest you try the UK forums & see if you can find a 'used' one that you can get shipped over.... I'm sure there will be someone willing to help you out for beer

Any ballpark figure on what it would cost to have one shipped over?

Was going to cost me $300 to get a D90/110 rear challenge winch tray shipped over.... so I built my own. Prob be similar for a bumper or a bit more. Getting some space in a container is the cheapest option.

For $200 you could've purchased this one:

Nick, when I bought my D44 from Lucky8 I looked at buying it direct from Devon and the price with shipping was nearly the same or maybe even cheaper. I think they can still ship you one even if they can't import to a US dealer...

Mike, much appreciated my friend! Always helpful. I will give them a call in the morning to sort things out. Where did you end up getting yours from?
