LT77 crapped out on 200Tdi - swap in R380 ?

Howdy mates :

new mate here - been driving my exMOD 90 200Tdi for 5 years no issue beyond a noisy slush box

- which crapped out - LT77 may not be worth rebuilding - idea is to swap in an R380 from a Disco

who - if any - has experience with this

seeing what are my options right now -

is worth seeking a bellhousing for R380 to 200 Tdi ? will I find one reasonably priced ?

cheers thanks in advance:

pretty sure the disco r380 won't work. You need a defender box. Check in with Rob Dassler

@ Southwest Rovers.

I have a couple of friends that went that route. It makes the most sense. Drops straight in.

Just phone Dave and ask about shipping. It is not that bad.

is it possible to put an LT85 behind this lump or are they stricly for V8 motors? Would the LT77s be a better choice than a standard LT77?
I agree you should get with Rob at SW Rovers. I've done business with him and he is great.

LT85 were V8 only.

If you want a good as new rebuilt Rob or ashcroft is your ticket, but I am of the opinion that a DIY rebuild is not a huge deal.
