LT230 Gearbox Identification

Is this a "20D" 1.6 box??

The Ashcroft site says the letter should be at the end of the serial number?? This one doesn't appear to follow that nomenclature since I can't find anything on a "20B".

Thats a 1.6 4cylinder petrol box.

This is a little clearer than Ashcroft: http://www.shop4autoparts.net/techni...nsfer_Box.html

The does not mean petrol. It mean pre-tdi 4 cylinder. All 4 cylinder 110s and 130s had 1.6 boxes until the 200tdi came out.
