LT 85 split case - oil strainer - where does it go?

I have replaced the oil in my LT85 gear box but recently ordered the plastic oil strainer for it (white plastic tube-shaped screen) when I saw it online.

Now that I have it I don't know where it goes on the gear box. I looked through the LT85 overhaul manual but I still don't see where the screen goes. No mention of it in the overhaul manual.

Any help?

how does that work

So presumably you push it into the hole as the oil is draining and then inspect the screen for metal?

it lives in the hole and you reach up with a finger and pull it out to inspect for metal when servicing trans
