LT 230 rear housing swap help

Swapping a ex mod 1.6 to a discovery 1 1.2, the hand brake and the speedometer input are different, speedometer have figured out I think tho wondering what problems would be encountered if the rear housings were just swapped?
The 1.2 tcase begins with 28d if it helps,

Or can the hand brake assembly be swapped?
Thanks

xmod handbrake linkages are different in that they require additional drilling and tapping to utilize the linkage on a civy tcase. The shift linkage is also different if memory serves....sorry many drams of scotch today...
I wouldn't bother with swapping housings, drilling and tapping cast aluminum is pretty easy.

Move the hand brake over. You need to drill and tapa couple of spots for the cable bracket.

you will need to swap the entire parking brake assembly backing plate included. Half an hours work with both out of the truck.
