LR90 t-seals help !

Hello all.

New guy here. Just purchased a 1985 LR90 2.5 NA with bad oil leak. I thought I would try the t-seals before I attack the rear main seal.
Can't seem to find the seals listed for the 2.5 anyplace. They are not shown on any engine breakdowns I have found.
I assume I will need main bearing cap bolts also, pan seal, etc.
I have found them a couple places, but they appear visually different and don't really specify for this engine.
Any thoughts or suggestions ?
Thanks in advance.

George in Philly.

I don't think there are t seals on a 2.5. I am pretty sure that is a V8 thing. That being said, have you cleaned the breather etc.?

Thanks... maybe that's why I can't find them !
Just getting started on this thing. Will check breather. Maybe just pan gasket and drain seal.
I hope.

I know very little about the 2.5. All my knowledge is 2.25 so maybe someone else can help. Good luck!

As a new guy, are you pretty certain you are familiar with how these things leak otherwise? They are messy mammals. My 2.5 was surprising clean underneath had plenty of blow by to make up for it.

Thanks all. Thank God for Forums !
Tearing into it soon.
I see some of you are from USA, any good suppliers you would recommend ?
Fell in love with these things in St. Barts. Hewes Marine is a great shop on the Island. Always some cool build up going on.
Thanks, G

Thx Rocky.
I have a manual on the way.
I will check those guys out. Or is that you ?
My local dealer says they don't leak ... they seep !
I'll just watch where I park.
Actually last time I was there, they moved a new Jag in the spotless showroom, and quickly followed up with a rag for the floor !
Best, G

For the older trucks I also find Rovah Farm and Safari HP have been very helpful as well. Support the stateside indie shops when we can, they have a passion that deserves the support IMO.
