Lr3 suspension fault

The wife's lr3 amber suspension fault just came on. Initially it sounded like the compressor was running so I pulled the fuse. Locked up the car and went to the store. When I unlocked the door a rush of air exited in the rear somewhere, fault still on.

Drove down the road, locked it up. Upon returning (fuse still out) Amber fault turned off. Went to another store and when I unlocked the door heard the rush if air again and fault turned back on, fuse still out.

I'm on the road so limited access to tools.

Owners manual says it's okay to drive on the amber light but still have many miles to go.

Anyone know what may be causing the fault?

The compressor wouldn't stop running so I pulled the fuse. At the dealer now and the compressor is leaking from the housing. Have a new compressor installed now

Fyi...You meed to pull two or three fuses to shut the whole system down not just the compressor fuse. I sold my lr3 2 and half years ago and it was prob another 1-2 before that when I went through similar problems. I can tell you it will slowly self level in the downward direction with no compressor unless you pull the others.
