Lower speedo cable location at t-case

I have searched... Does anyone have a picture that shows how and where the speedo cable attaches to the t-case on a '94 Defender? I have a skid plate that is in the way of finding the right spot. Yes, I'm a noob...
Many thanks,
Chuck

seems like it is on the drivers side in front of the parking break drum. on mine there is a brownish colored line running into it.

It has a U shaped piece of metal that holds it in. There is a spot for a small bolt above it. If you are behind it, it goes in on the left side towards the back. I can't take a picture for you right now, but you can do it.

just stick it in there, slide the plate over it, put the bolt in.

Broken cable?

Thanks. I had to pull the skid plate and then I found it. Man, that's tight in there.

So, it looks like the end of the cable on the t'case side might be broken off. It only has about 3/8" of square part sticking out. It does not really engage into the t-case square receptacle at all. What happens if the piece that broke off is still in the t-case? Is there a good source for a new lower speedo cable?
Many thanks,
Chuck
