Lost only keys for my 85 ROW D90!

Where does one begin on this? Most affordable easy fix? Much appreciated!

Easiest thing would be to have a locksmith make you a new key. You can drill out the 2 breakaway bolts on the column and take it to them or replace the cylinder. I can supply the necessary parts needed either way.

Thanks! If I was gonna have a lock smith make one. Would I need or order a key from somewhere. I had three different keys and tried couple times, on over counter keys. Thanks for the help.

Different keys. 3 actually. One for ignition and two separate for the outside

Are they usually different? My ex-mod uses the same key for everything.

It may be easier and less of a mess to tap the safety bolts with a chisel rather than drill them out.

if your ignition has not been changed a new key can be ordered based on the vin.

It's not uncommon for the trucks we've come across down here.

I have an uncut door key... If yours are different, and you can't find one. Been saving it for a rainy day, but I know what it is like to loose your keys. My kids lost both sets for my ST, and it took 2 months to find them.

LR no longer sells keys for the NAS models.

Mine is ROW. The door key to driver door was small and off centered. The rear door had its own skinny narrow key and the ignition another! Lol

Yea I was having a great time skiing and wasn't thinking. I often thought (that I'd be screwed) if I lost my only what I would do? Guess it will play out fine!!??

Land Rover did for the past 20 years. Based on posts above they may not anymore. I used to call Mike the parts manager @ Land Rover Mainline in Pa and the next day the newly cut key would come complete with a LR fob for $30. Mike now has his own independent parts business and others are saying LRNA no longer carries defender key blanks. FWIW there is no damn difference between a row defender 83-97 key and a NAS key blank.

Bet the same key used on Jags and MGs as well. British Leyland had some habits that were hard to break.
