Looking to purchase a d90

Curious how fast these cars go. I know it wasn't designed for speed but can they Cruise the highway at 65-70mph? Can gears be changed to get better highway speeds?

Is it really a rough ride? Can shocks get changed for a smoother ride?

Looking for input and advice.

Yes, but 70 mph will feel like 100! Go take a ride and see for yourself if these are for you.

Question is vague at best.
Tons of different engines and answers.

You have a 94 disco. Same drivetrain as a nas truck. Will drive like that.

Um.. What? ???

Well I can do 85 mph indicated on the highway and make the occasional pass on a 2 lane.

If you want speed, your going to need to drop in an LS motor...

Pretty much this. They ride fine and have all the weird characteristics of anything with such a short wheelbase. Keep stock tires and "enough" power for the highway.

Yeah, good luck with that! There is no fun in that... you'll get bigger tires and (hopefully) wheel the rig. It will drive like your disco, but be tons more fun, and way louder, colder and hotter (depending on your season). I highly encourage anyone to get one. They make no sense in just about any category except off-roading, frustration, generating smiles, and painting. Well, that is if you roll a canvas under your truck and have it make you an oil painting. hehehehehe I made a funny :-)

This Land Rover was in Fast & Furious 7 if that means anything to you. Gives that extra special perception of speed.
