Looking for this LT77 part.

Hello, I was having transmission problems, I tore down the transmission to find that the rear bearing on the mainshaft housed in the center plate had failed. The bearing race also spun in the center plate and has made the center plate unusable. Does anyone have a LT77 center plate or know where I can get one. Thanks for you help.

You could try Ashcroft or try and find a used piece. The parts manual only only lists the entire case as a part number.

You will need to provide the suffix as the cases change over time. Be careful spending too much. I assume that is an early suffix box and it will just fail again one day.

This is the early case. Interesting that they are not that pricey.

See here: Allbrit.de - Ersatzteile für LAND ROVER & MG ROVER

You need STC1036 which is specific to the F suffix only. If you look for used, it must be from an F suffix box.

Hmm, I have a LT77 as a showing gearbox for my pupils.
If you will send me your ruined intermediate plate, I will send you mine back to the US.
My plate is ok.
You take the handling and shipping and everything will went without any noise.

Sounds like a plan?

Is it from an F suffix? If not, it won't work as they changed the bearing size for F.

I no longer need that part. Im getting a transmission from Southwest Rovers.
Also, I found out that you can not replace the center plate alone. You need to replace the case and the center plate as a set due to the fact that they are machined as a set. Make sense to me.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions and help.
