looking for advice on replacing the rear seat

Hi guys-
I'm looking at replacing my back seat with a 'bucket set bench' style. Have two kids and I managed to buy my wife a minivan without getting rid of the D-90. I'd like to find a U.S. manufacturer that makes one and would fit inbetween the wheel wells. Thanks.

I harassed Yousef and told him that you would be looking for some info from him.

Damn,
I missed the seat posting. I recall when he sold the stock bench seat.
Doug - do a search on the help or misc threads as I asked for options a couple of months back. One discussion was on a Jeep rear bench being fit. Yes it does work and whoever did it had some custom attachment plates made. I got tired of looking for a D-90 bench or seeing them sell for $400 + without seatbelts. In my junkyard, a Jeep rear bench (I have to remove it) with what ever I can remove for seatbelts is under a $100.

Yousef has by far the best set up I have seen. His seatbelt set up is the only way i would put the kids in the back. My Jeep seat option was for the wife.

By the way - what are those speaker boxes Y has in the back? I'm looking for some for my rear marine speakers (6.5 inch Pioneers)

Paul I think those are the boxes you can buy from Tuffy, they only hold speakers.

The guy with the jeep seat is Sean H in CO springs. I think Matt at Rock Ware installed the seat along with lap belt. It's cheap but small. I love my Master Craft seat, it holds two car seats with no problem. However, the mounting brackets are pain in the butt. First I drilled extra holes to fit it but it was permanent and sometimes I wanted to take the seat out but I couldn’t. Now I have SG brackets which I still don't like as it is still pain in the butt to take the seat out and Mike seen it first hand. You prolly need to take it to a shop and have them build you a custom brackets. As for the 4 point harness, it didn't work well for the kidos, I mean it's safe but they are still young and the harness couldn't fit over their shoulders very well so I went back to the stock seat belts.

Speaker boxes are made by tuffy and they look awesome with my tuffy lockable boxes. They blend in together very well.

Thanks again- I'll look at MasterCraft and ant the jeep seats.... I'd love to be able to move the bench seat in and out, but it doesn't sound like an option. Happy Rovering!
