Question Looking for a Brand New Besttop??

I am looking to purchase a new Besttop for my D-90 but I am not sure were is the best site to get this. I have looked everywhere. The only website I found was Rover North and I am not sure if the top they have will fit my D-90. If anyone knows I would really appreciate it Thanks. My D-90 has NAS specs...

The Rovers North top is a direct replacement for the Bestop made and is made by Badger. It is much better than the Bestop because it is made out of Mercedes-type canvas instead of vinyl.

I dont have either the Badger top or the RN, but the Badger top is designed for the door gutter kit whereas the RN top simply replaces the Bestop. I think either would be a good choice.

I agree with Jim. Go with the RN top. IT will fit right on.

By the way, how did you get your truck NAS spec over there?

When I bought my truck it had a Bestop top. It didn't keep water out very well. I have since replaced it with the Rovers North / Badger top. The RN top does a great job and as a bonus looks great. A word of advice regarding the RN top - keep a couple of beers handy when fitting the top for the first time. The top is VERY tight and requires a bit of stretching. It gets easier to put on after it has stretched out a bit.

If I remember Bestop no longer makes tops for Rovers. I've ordered a Badger top and can't wait for it to get here.

Thanks everyone for the feedback, really helped me out.

To answer Randy's question. i got my D-90 from the main dealer they had a few limited edition cars in 2001 which were made when the TD5 engine came out and the body specs are the NAS specs. I think they only made like 150 of these worldwide it the truck in the picture.

Thanks again everyone.

Yeah i had some questions about my top earlier in the year and called BestTop and the saleslady had no clue that they ever made tops for Land Rovers...I think that was just that one year deal for the 97's b/c if im not mistaking the other 2 years of the NAS 90's had badger tops on them.

to the best of my knowledge bestop still makes the tops for defenders however they are sold stricktly through LR.
And Adi, call LR westchester you can get a new soft top from them for ~ $1300 way way less than a badger, but i the quality follows the price.

Call me sometimes...maybe we'll exchange ideas/offroad...(+971 50 875 3829)

Do you know where the best place to get a hard-top (NAS) and Tuffy boxes in the UAE?

Hey Nadim,

Congrats on the brilliant purchase, well in the UAE I have found nothing. So it will have to be ordered from abroad. I only saw one D-90 having a fiberglass Hard top here in Dubai. And if you need any help either email me or call me at 6533356m. Enjoy your truck....
