Life expectency of RTE springs?

My 90 is over a inch lower on the left rear than the right. I noticed it a while back, decided to put a 1 inch puck to make up the diffrerence. It is still lower on that side. It can't be anything but a weak spring can it? I have had the spring about 5 years. Is that about the life of these? They are 2" HD's
