license plate light

Trying to disassemble the light assembly and also remove from the steel mounting bracket. Is it a matter of just removing the two large flat head screws? Mine are frozen tight and I can't seem to be able to apply too much torque without destroying them. Any suggestions?

An LED replacement is about $30 + a plinth for about $20 more, you'll be set for life.

There should be bolts there, not screws. Someone has $^&^! with it....

That LED looks nice. If your interested I have a MOD take off that's in good shape. It's green now but nothing that a little paint can't fix. Let me know $15.00 shipped USA.

Really nice! Except that I wish the diodes weren't freakin' 5k+ kelvin. I hate blue light ;-(

Plan B: Get a normal bulb setup and buy the preferred light color bulb on line.

There should be nuts on the other side of the panel behind the speaker housing that the screws are screwed into. Have you tried to break them loose from there?
