Dave I have done all 3 like Jason in my ROW110 and have put LED greens in. I had white and they were too bright. For some reason the ones I have put in glow green on the edges, but the VDO dial is white. The speedo sux. Like I said I broke and took out both plastic pieces including the green lens in there.

I will post up pics for you tonight.

FWIW I actually ordered up these for my speedo(s) earlier this week actually (in the GREEN color):
https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...-base/200/885/

They are set to deliver today or tomorrow, and I plan to do the swap this weekend. We'll see if it gives me more of a "green" glow like the VDO's that I have in the other spots....I'll report back.

That's it?!! For some reason I thought you had to have some sort of nuclear diffuser whenever you switched to LED. These I could learn to like although I don't think I've ever driven the 90 at night!

I have a dimmer. It is needed when you get VDO gauges.

The only time it gets complex (I believe) is when you have a relay involved....but others have done the LED gauge lights swap with great success. I actually do NOT plan to swap out the bulbs on my VDO since they are nice and bright, but only plan to do the speedo, (tach has a different bulb requirement FYI), and interior light.

A follow up question. If so, what color led bulb did you put in - warm white, natural white or green?

yep - in both sockets...unfortunately the speedo sockets all rotted away - crappy English plastic so the LEDs don't fit in there snuggly, hence a lot of light leakage - but still way bright enough

I installed the green LEDs in the speedo today:
https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...-base/200/885/

...WHOA. I don't want to say it's too bright, but man. I left the regular bulbs in the VDO fuel/temp gauge, and realized now that the clock bulb is different, so I'm tempted to order up the LEDs for the VDO as well and figure out which bulb for the clock (though I'm thinking of ditching the clock for a battery voltage gauge anyhow so maybe I'll hold off).

Anyhow...at least now I'll finally know how fast I'm going at night!

That's actually not a bad idea.

how will you overcome the oe green lensed bulb holders ? The vision series VDO's are easy since they come with different color bulb condoms.

I'm going to spin a drill bit with my fingers or slowly with a variable speed drill and grind out the green lens while holding the speedo face up so the waste falls out.

Did the NAS today, pics are during the daytime so not as "dramatic" but you can see the obvious improvement. I did just the speedo, tach, and interior light (not pictured)...but am strongly considering doing the VDO gauges on both trucks with the LED as well so everything "matches".

I took off the dash but can't for the life of me pull off the speedo cable. I've loosened the large white "base" of the connector (that just sits right next to the speedo) with counter clockwise rotation but when I keep on turning it, it doesn't come off. It also won't pull off at this stage. What am I not doing right?

Here is a picture to give you an idea. It doesn't unscrew, you just sort of squeeze it and it should come right off.
