LED Lamps on ECR BR110

ECR Mike, where did you source the LED lamp clusters used on the BR 110? That seems like the hot setup to me for keeping the lights dry and functional.

These arent the common LED's that just replace the standard bulbs, this looks like a sealed unit that screws into the NAS plinth.

Also, do they have a built-in modifcation for the turn signals or did you have to alter something?

A google search turned up nothing.

If anyone wants to see what I'm talking about, scroll down to the bottom of this page and check out the tail lamps:

WOW that 110 is amazing....what is the ballpark cost of the D90 to a D110 conversion.

I have a 95 D90 SW that I want to keep around but need more passenger capacity.

Have you sorted the blinker problems? Can you tell us who makes the sealed lenses or is it something you had done just for your project truck?

Nice work.

I need to get everything sorted correctly and then I'll post the info. The BR110 is at Badger Coachworks this week so I can't finish the install until it comes back.
FYI the LED lamps are really costly (and I mean from the manufacture, not "Rover shop" mark up), so be ready.
I'll have them for NAS 110s and 94 D90s soon too.

Just to clarify before people get pissy. I'm not trying to sell this stuff and I didn't start this thread. I will be selling it to my customers, but I will also give up where we get the products so you can DIY it if you like, I just want to get it all working correctly before I do that so no one has any hassles.

This thread started to souunds a little commercial and I want to avoid a another pissing match like when we posted our "parts for sale" thing.
Thanks!

this is another LED conversion done on a defender.
I remember that it also was very costly.

The set up we are working on will require no modifications and will appear very close to stock.

If you want to modify you could just buy tow truck LEDs from AW Direct.

I've seen this site before and my brother has bought stuff from them and liked their stuff. Looks like it would cost about $200 or so in parts for the rear.

I know the idea is probably to keep it looking as stock as possible, but if you are willing to accept a little deviation, you can go this route. Obviously the pictures are of a non-nas style light location, and smaller, but you can buy the 3in for about $12. Full LED, all you have to do is drill a hole with a hole saw and flush mount them. Plus they are waterproof and shock resistant. I did the front too. I think it looks pretty clean and would look almost stock at first glance.

I bought a 54 array LED back up light to use in the camper shell of my 130. The thing works great and draws very little power and is very bright. Bought it off Ebay for $30.
I like the 110 LED's and will have to consider it for my truck. Very cool.

I have a friend that owns a trailer supply store where I bought them. They are available at really any big rig supply store. If they don't have them where you are, I would be happy to get them for you and drop them in the mail. I get a big discount, and there is a lot to choose from.

I'm sure these suckers are costly, I cant tell how many LED's are in each cluster on the 110, but its hard to find 36 LED arrays for under 200 bucks each. What really has me intrigued though is the NAS shape and the molded ABS backing - this is something I'd be interested in making myself, but I'd never be satisfied unless it was as well-finished as your set-up. I really look forward to hearing more complete info - Thanks!

OK, I keep getting emails about this so although I don't have a "kit" yet here is what I do know:
The LED sealed lamps are about 75. each, plus a factory connector (if desired).
The "fast flash" problem has been solved with a direct install (meaning no mods) variable load flasher relay (not in line "loads" that build heat (yuck)). I just installed another set on the restoration of 110 #157/500 and it all tests out perfect. I'll get the stuff written up in the next coupe of days and post, so for all of you emailing me... hang in there just a little bit.

Thanks,
Mike
