LED Issue - Aussie style

So I ordered replacement LED bulbs from the bushman figuring, if it is done in the bush it has to be right. Got my order today and I figured it was as good a time as any to replace my dash cowl.

For the most part it all went as planned. Getting two of the dash cowl screws out sucked but everything else was ok. First thing I notice when I am working on my bulbs is my heat and fan lights aren't going on. I don't get this because I didn't mess with the bulbs. The second thing I notice is the tach uses a different bulb than everything else.

So my two questions:
Was the aussie wrong that all the bulbs are the same
and

Why would the heat and fan lights not work?

Pics coming in one sec

The tach is indeed different. I ordered a replacement for it from superbrightleds.com

I am not sure about the others, but if you didn't touch them I would start with the most obvious...a fuse or a ground

Andrew,
Do you have the part number from Superbrightleds.com for the tach light and the rest of the guage lights? Do tell.

------ Follow up post added June 2nd, 2011 01:28 AM ------

Barry,
I heard Josh met some bushmen (bushmen not into "bush" man!.au.com) in a chat room that worked for the light company that you ordered from and sabotaged your order. This was posted on his "get even with Barry Wall".
So the bushmen that are not into "bush" man which now Josh is part of, are behind this conspiracy.

Andrew

Found your thread

http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...ecs%2Fba9s.htm

That is the tach. Going to order tomorrow. Can't figure out why every other bulb would work but those two don't They are such tiny bulbs I can't see why everything else works and they don't. Wonder where the ground would be.

Ah, beneath the truck and your feet.

On a less serious note you could see if the flimsy circuit board that the plugs for the warning lights go onto are a little worn and spray some electrical cleaner and possibly put some di-lectric grease on the plugs.

It looks like the 74-x. Its only $1.19 each. How many bulbs do we need on the instrument panel, etc...?

Got it all working again. Of course while working on it I broke the white plastic bulb holder for the fan. Does anyone have one or know the part number?

It is white plastic, holds the bulb and has two prongs on the back for the wires to go to.

No the 74 bulb is just the fan. If you search led you will see all the correct bulbs.
There is one kind for the speedo, fuel, and temp and another kind for the tach and finally another kind for the fan and heat controls

As I recall, the clock is different as well, at least on the 110. I think Barry already linked my thread that detailed all the bulbs and what they fit.

Sounds like you already ordered but 74x-HP is much brighter. The Bushman would be jealous.
