LED Brake and Running light - light out on

Anyone running into the "bulb light out" on the dash when they switch to brake/running LED's?

That depends....

You said "Anyone running into the "bulb light out" on the dash when they switch to brake/running LED's?"

Those resistors are to fix a turn signal light problem and have nothing to do with brake and running lights. The resistors are poor fix, IMO. You should get the correct flasher relay.

What is your actual problem?

Anyway I don't get a bulb out on the idiot cluster on the dash until I turn the light switch either to forward either parking or all the way on.

The bulb out light will come on, so my rationale is that the LED brake/Running lights are not pulling enough current so it makes it makes the bulb out light come on.

It does beg to ask why doesn't the bulb out come on when apply the brakes only and the parking or running lights are not on?

Hmmm.

He could be getting a backfeed through a ground or it could be the trailer light. Mine used to blink when I had a light out (I think it's resistance based)

If there is a bulb out indicator lamp, I would just remove its bulb. It won't work with the LEDs.

You don't have to use those connectors....

Who would want to purposely add 100W of load to your electrical system? Defeats the whole point of using the LEDs!

And the burnt bulb indicator will turn off, but it won't ever indicate when a bulb is burnt out. All you have done is add a bunch of load to the system. Remove the bulb....

You don't...and you shouldn't!!! Just wanted to make sure that was clear since LED issues are prevalent and sure it may work short term but with scotch locks you'll have even worse issues (likely) shortly down the road.

Better than wire nuts. But then I grew up with the Cadbury connector so it's what I like best.
