Late Td5 Dash Fitting

My NAS 110 bulkhead was rusted beyond repair. So I installed a new late Td5 bulkhead and decided to add the TD5 center cluster as well.

Started fitting all the pieces today but it didn't fit very well.
Here are the parts I'm using:

Dash bottom - from 95 D-90
Td5 instrument cluster
Td5 upper metal bracket
Dash top - from 95 D-90
Grab handle - from 95 D-90

There seems to be too much of a gap between top of dash and Td5 instrument cluster.
Grab handle doesn't line up properly.

So my question is:
Do I need to use the Td5 bottom, top and grab handle?

does the TD5 lower have the "cutout" already made for the center console or do you have to cut into it like the NAS lower??

Is the lower the "plenum" portion or some other part?

What year TD5 do you specify?

TDI Guy,

Do you have the list of parts to do the dash conversion? Is it expensive? Any issues with having a soft top and the readio in the dash? I know there are pictures of your rig on the site but can't find them. And most importanlty how often do you eat at the Fireplace on route 17?

Love the steak sandwich. I miss NJ. From Hillsdale. So how hard is it to covert to a new dash and how expensive? Going to stare at your write up now

Why do you need a new wiper motor cover?
I do this conversion a lot and the stock NAS wiper cover fits 100%.

In 110s I change them to et rid of the stupid 4" speaker hole, but on a 90 it is not required.
