Land Rover Defender KOH 2011 Prep

Hi guys,

Some of you are into this stuff, some not. But here is the KOH 2011 prep pictures. I am not doing any of it. Nick McGaha is racing this car this year. He has done all the work to get it ready, and he has done an amazing job. Some of you may enjoy these:

Sorry to hear you are not racing, but nice to see it getting dolled up. So remind me what path you/they took with the engine?

I like the "Ghetto List" as well as catheter under the "Performance List"!

My friend Dave Smiley qualified this year!

I am racing this year. I am just racing in the itty bitty. Pic attached.

We (west Coast Rovers) ended up rebuilding the whole top end, inspecting the bottom end, new timing belt, new head gasket, new fuel pump, and I think that is about it. Pendy helped a lot. Oh, and new turbo from Rover Tracks. I hope I made the right decision.

Cool pics thanks for sharinb. Long list even with a already built race truck - just shows how much work is needed.

I saw turbo as one of the items - did you guys stay with the LR Tdi? And saw Toy listed for the axles - are you guys running Toyota stuff? Bummer to hear you are not racing - just taking a year off/building a new rig?

Missed your follow up post - still curious on the axles. Thanks!

Hi,

Don't have too many. I uploaded a few with people next to it. It's small. Single seater. Top of roof is 5'8". 109in wheelbase. 40in tires. 46in at the widest point!

I just realized that sheet doesn't even say what they are. They are a ford 9in/Dana 60 front and 9in / Rover rear. Sorry.

Yeah that is pretty small, but I dig it. I have mixed feeling about the single seater, but it sure looks like a good rig for the KOH.

My feelings aren't mixed, I would much rather have a 2 seater! But, the deal was right and it is probably the only way to be competitive with less than 150K rig.

HAHA! When I first read the title I thought you were talking about a vaginal smear. I've never seen a va-jay-jay on a Land Rover, well, let me take that back. I have seen a few but this is so much better!
