Land rover 90 2.5na alternator replacement question

So it would seem mine is shot. At least, after replacing the main ground wire and getting a nice interstate commercial battery it's going dead after two days of driving it around. (I don't think it's grounding out anywhere. I looked over it pretty carefully) Does anyone have a recommendation for a good high amerperage replacement? I put a pretty big high CCA commercial battery in there and am going to wire some accessory lights.

Thanks for the help!

Is your battery light on the dash coming on with the engine off and ignition on? Does the light go out when the engine is running?

The light comes on when it starts and while it is idling. If I give it a little gas it goes off.

Then your alternator is most likely working fine and you probably have a power drain when it is off.

You need someone with a meter to test things and find the problem.

If you want a bigger alternator regardless there are a bunch of recent threads discussing options that should give you the details.
